Kingwood Twp. Fire Co responded Tender 16-2 and Tender 16-1 as part of the south county tender task force to assist station 21 with a dwelling fire. Upon arrival Chief 16 established water supply dump site at end of the street. Chief 92 was water supply officer at scene. Great teamwork by all.
On 7/9/2016 at 11:20 pm the Kingwood Township Vol. Fire Company No. 1 was dispatched as part of the West Hunterdon Tender Task force for a Structure Fire in Holland Township. Tender 16-2 piloted by Captain Alex Krewsun responded to the assignment. Tender 16-2 remained on scene until released by command at approximately 12:50pm. Station 16 fire and 16 rescue were dispatched to the 300 block of old croton rd for a reported dumpster fire. Chief 16 arrived on scene with a dumpster fire with no exposures. Station 16 rescue cancelled. E16-1 responded and extinguished the fire.
Station 16 fire and station 16 rescue were dispatched for a reported brush fire in the 800 block of Rt 519. Deputy Chief 16 arrived on scene to find a large rubbish pile burning and took command. Brush 16 and tender 16-1 arrived and crews went in service with 1 3/4" line. Engine 16-2 arrived and crew pulled 2nd 1 3/4 line. Tender 16-2 arrived and supplied additional water. Backhoe called to the scene to pull pile apart to fully extinguish fire.
At 0723 hours station 16 fire, quint 26, tender 47, and station 16 rescue were dispatched on box 1604 for a reported chimney fire in the 400 block of Barbertown Point Breeze Rd. Chief 16 arrived on location with Tender 47 and confirmed working chimney fire. Chief 16 took command. Engine 16-1 arrived and crew went in service. Deputy Chief 16 arrived and took operations. At 14:49 the Kingwood Township Vol. Fire Company was alerted to an alarm activation at the Kingwood Township School. Upon arrival all staff and students had evacuated the building. Captain Hanley and the crew from Engine 16-1 investigated, found the source of the false alarm and cleared the building for all staff and students to return. Upon all staff and students returning to the school the Kingwood Township Vol. Fire Company returned safely to the station.
At 13:56 the Kingwood Township Vol. Fire Company was alerted to assist Quakertown Vol. Fire Company on a CO alarm activation on Pittstown Road. Captain Rob Hanley in command of his crew on Engine 16-1. Lt. Campbell proceeded to check the house for any levels of CO. No levels found throughout the house, homeowner advised it was safe to return to the residence. All Kingwood Township Vol. Fire Company personnel returned safely to the station.

Chief Floyd arrived on scene with Deputy Chief Drake and Chief Powell (sta 47) to find a 2 1/2 story dwelling with light smoke showing from the second floor. Homeowner advised that a cabinet in the kitchen was on fire. At 2259 hours the Kingwood Township Fire Company was alerted to assist Kingwood Rescue Squad with 2 landing zones for 2 victims of an ATV accident. E16-2 set up 1 landing zone at Our Lady of Victory Church on rt 519 and E16-1 handled the other at Kingwood Fire Company station 1. Both patients transfered to helicopters without incident.
